What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a physical exfoliation procedure. It requires the use of a sterile, surgical scalpel to gently remove the skin’s top layer of dead skin along with fine, vellus hair. This treatment can be performed monthly. This facial also includes cleansing, exfoliation, masque and massage.
Once I have dermaplaning, will my facial hair grow back thicker?
No, because it’s not terminal hair it’s vellus hair. It will grow back the same size and color.
What skin care lines does beauty mark carry?
We carry and use DMK, Image, Face Reality, and Skinscript.
How often should I have a facial?
We recommend an absolute minimum of once a season.  When addressing specific issues such as acne, fine lines and wrinkles, and hyperpigmentation for example, we suggest you consult with o our expert skin care therapist as to how best to approach your concern.  Typically, clients see the best results by having a professional facial once every 4–6 weeks.
What is your "Basic" facial?
Our BeautyMark facial includes a full skin analysis followed by a customized treatment to address the unique needs of your skin which includes a thorough cleansing, two levels of exfoliation, massage, extractions, mask, and an application of an appropriate moisturizer and sunscreen.  As the BeautyMark is fully customized, no two are alike.  This is a great starter facial for when you’re unsure of what would best suit your skin.
Should I Tip?
At some spas a 15% to 20% service charge is already included. However, a tip for therapists is always appreciated, especially if the service was really good.
Do I really need to drink water?
Yes, this is vitally important as you need to help your body flush out the toxins released during the treatment.
What if I have some physical ailment, disability or allergies?
Please notify us at the time you are making your appointments and your therapist at the beginning of your treatment. You will be informed if treatments are not recommended.
Do you offer men services?
Yes. We offer treatments specifically for men.
